01 · THE REVEAL

The Dear Passengers announcement on 14 July 2026

FLEXUS announced Dear Passengers on 14 July 2026, publishing the Steam listing and a 1:58 trailer the same day. The pitch was unusually easy to grasp from a single sentence — play in co-op as the crew of the world's worst airline — and the footage did the rest: cockpit work, cabin service, questionable cargo, and physics doing something undignified to all of it.

What made the Dear Passengers announcement notable was the studio behind it. FLEXUS is a Kyiv team founded in 2020, with more than 70 people and over 300 million downloads — all of it mobile before this. A first PC co-op title from a studio with no PC catalogue does not normally produce half a million wishlists in an afternoon. The Game Awards account reshared the trailer, where it collected six figures of likes, and the clip spread through Instagram in several languages.

For the footage itself, the Dear Passengers Announcement Trailer page goes through the reveal shot by shot and marks which mechanics it demonstrates versus merely implies.

  3. MILESTONE

One million wishlists and a Top 25 placement

One million wishlists in under two days puts Dear Passengers into Steam's Top 25 most wishlisted games. FLEXUS states it got there with no marketing, no paid creators and no ads. In a same-day interview, founder Semen Kozyura says the team still intends a 2026 release but will not ship an unpolished build.

  4. MILESTONE

    1,500,000 passengers onboard

The 1.5 million post arrives with artwork and a development note: the team is working daily on more mechanics, more unexpected events, more suspicious luggage, and more passengers who should never be allowed near an aircraft.

    PENDING

Two million, a demo date, or a release month

Any of the three would be the next material update. A Gamescom demo is being prepared with a public demo promised afterwards — status is tracked on the Dear Passengers Release Date page.

03 · WHAT WAS NEVER ANNOUNCED

Dear Passengers claims that did not come from FLEXUS

A viral announcement generates confident secondhand detail. These are the four things most often reported as fact that no official source states.

  • A “Fall 2026” release. Several outlets have written it. The Steam listing says 2026 with no month or day, and FLEXUS has not narrowed it.
  • A four-player crew limit. Read from the reveal footage, not from the store. The feature panel confirms online co-op and states no maximum.
  • A demo you can download. A Gamescom build is being prepared and a public demo has been promised. Neither is available, and no date exists.
  • Console versions. No PS5, Xbox or Switch edition has been announced. Windows PC is the only platform on the listing.

The general rule this site follows: the Dear Passengers Steam page settles features, official posts settle milestones, and the Community discussions are useful for finding out which questions are still open — never for answering them.
