Dear Passengers game crew braving a winter weather delay on the apron

SECTION 03.2 · ARRIVALS BOARD

Dear Passengers Release Date: What Has Been Announced

Short answer: the Dear Passengers release date has not been announced. Steam shows a 2026 window with no month and no day, and FLEXUS has not narrowed it. This page collects every dated timing statement on record, explains where the widely repeated “Fall 2026” came from, and tracks the demo — which is the thing most likely to arrive first.

01 · THE ANSWER

What the Dear Passengers release date actually is

The Dear Passengers release date is "2026". That is the entire official position — the Steam listing for app 4534960 carries a year and nothing finer, there is no preorder, and no price has been published. Anything more specific than the year is either an interpretation or an invention.

The one thing that has firmed up is intent rather than date. In a 17 July interview, FLEXUS founder Semen Kozyura said the team still means to release Dear Passengers in 2026 but will not rush an unpolished build. That supports the year on the store page without narrowing it, and it is the closest thing to a schedule commitment on record.

02 · THE FALL 2026 PROBLEM

Where “Dear Passengers Fall 2026” came from

If you have seen a season attached to this game, this is why — and why this site does not repeat it as fact.

A number of outlets and aggregator pages have described Dear Passengers as launching in Fall 2026. The phrasing does not appear on the Steam listing, and FLEXUS has not published a season. Once one write-up uses it, others copy it, and within a fortnight a season looks like it was announced.

The practical test is simple: open the store page and read the release field. If it says 2026, then 2026 is what has been announced. SteamDB's change history is the fastest way to see the moment that field is edited, because it logs store-page changes even when FLEXUS does not post about them.

03 · THE DEMO

Dear Passengers demo status before the release date

Realistically the next thing you will be able to actually play, and it is closer than the full game.

FLEXUS has confirmed it is preparing a Dear Passengers demo for Gamescom, and Kozyura has said a public demo will follow afterwards. What does not exist yet: a public download, a date, a Steam Playtest, or any published rules about who gets access. A wishlist does not grant entry — see the Dear Passengers Steam wishlist guide for what it does and does not do.

  • Gamescom demo — confirmed as being prepared by FLEXUS.
  • Public demo — stated as planned, with no date.
  • Steam Playtest — none open, none announced.
  • Beta signup — does not exist; treat any signup form claiming otherwise as unofficial.
  • Downloadable build anywhere — none. There is no APK, no early build, no key.

That last point is worth stating plainly because a game with two million wishlists and no build attracts fake downloads. The only legitimate place Dear Passengers will appear is the Steam listing under app 4534960; the Steam page breakdown covers how to confirm you are looking at the real one.

04 · PLATFORMS

Which platforms the Dear Passengers release covers

Windows PC through Steam, and nothing else. No PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, macOS, Linux, mobile or VR version has been announced, and no second store page exists. High search volume for console versions is not a port announcement — it is people asking the same question this page is answering.

Confirmed platform

  • Windows PC
  • Distributed via Steam
  • Windows 10 64-bit minimum
  • DirectX 12 required

Not announced

  • PlayStation 5
  • Xbox Series X|S
  • Nintendo Switch
  • macOS and Linux
  • Android and iOS
  • VR support
  • Steam Deck rating
  • Crossplay

If you are checking whether your machine qualifies for the one confirmed platform, the published minimum is broken down on the Dear Passengers System Requirements page — the GPU line is the one that actually excludes hardware.

05 · TIMING QUESTIONS

Dear Passengers release date FAQ

Every answer reflects the Steam listing and FLEXUS statements as of July 31, 2026. This page is rechecked whenever the store's release field changes.

When does Dear Passengers come out?

In 2026. No month or day has been announced. FLEXUS has said it still intends a 2026 release but will not ship an unpolished build, which is intent rather than a date.

Is Dear Passengers releasing in Fall 2026?

Not officially. The season appears in press coverage but not on the Steam listing, and FLEXUS has not published it. Treat it as unconfirmed until the store's release field changes.

Can I preorder Dear Passengers?

No. There is no preorder and no price on the listing. The only action available is adding it to your Steam wishlist.

When is the Dear Passengers demo out?

No date. A Gamescom demo is being prepared and a public demo has been promised afterwards, but nothing is downloadable and no Playtest is open.

Is Dear Passengers coming to PS5, Xbox or Switch?

No console version has been announced. Windows PC via Steam is the only platform on the listing, and no other store page exists.

How will I know when the release date is announced?

Watch the Steam release field or the FLEXUS news hub — every milestone so far has appeared there first. This page and the Dear Passengers Announcement timeline are updated together whenever it does.
